Mary Okoye’s Old Post Sparks Fresh Buzz Amid P-Square Family Drama

Mary Okoye, younger sister of music duo P-Square, has found herself at the centre of renewed social media attention after an old Instagram post resurfaced amid claims about her financial struggles.

The post, originally shared by Mary in April 2026, carried the caption, “Depending on God: I refuse to look like what I’m going through.”

Although the message appeared to be a personal expression of faith at the time, it has taken on new significance following recent claims attributed to the family’s eldest brother, Henry Okoye.

Henry reportedly alleged that Mary has been experiencing financial difficulties in Lagos and suggested that her famous brothers have not done enough to support her. He was also reported to have claimed that, among the family’s eight siblings, only one person has been actively assisting her.

Mary, however, has not publicly confirmed or addressed the allegations concerning her financial situation.

The renewed attention also comes amid reports of challenges in her personal life, including the collapse of her marriage to Nollywood actor Emma Emordi, which reportedly ended amid allegations of infidelity.

Following the resurfacing of her post, social media users flooded the comment section with reactions, with some criticising Peter and Paul Okoye over the alleged situation.

One user wrote, “Only Peter has been trying among them… Henry said that out of eight siblings, only one person helping out, e no easy too.”

Another commenter questioned why Peter had allegedly not assisted his sister, while others urged caution, arguing that family disputes are often more complicated than they appear publicly.

One user suggested that Peter may have his reasons for keeping his distance, noting that the singer had previously claimed that several family members were against him and his wife.

The debate comes amid the wider and long-running family dispute involving Peter, Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, which has continued to generate controversy and public commentary.

For now, Mary has remained silent on the latest claims, leaving her April post to fuel further speculation among fans and social media users.
