The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has assured shortlisted candidates in its ongoing recruitment exercise that plans are underway to conduct a Computer-Based Test (CBT) as part of the selection process.
In a statement issued at the weekend and signed by the Head of Press and Public Relations, Ibraheem Zakariyya, for the Commission, FCSC Chairman, Professor Tunji Olaopa, said arrangements for the examination remain in place, pending the provision of necessary resources required for its conduct.
The Commission dismissed online reports claiming that the CBT had been cancelled, describing the claims as false and misleading.
It urged shortlisted candidates to disregard the rumours circulating online and remain calm while awaiting official communication from the Commission.
The Chairman reiterated that the recruitment process is still active and will proceed in line with established procedures.
According to the statement, the CBT will be conducted for shortlisted candidates as part of efforts to ensure a transparent and merit-based recruitment exercise.
The Commission said it is working to finalise logistics for the examination to ensure a smooth process when it eventually holds.
It further advised candidates to rely only on verified updates from the FCSC regarding the recruitment timeline and procedures.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to a credible, transparent, and merit-based recruitment process.
