The announcement was made public through the Director-General of the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), Lekan Fatodu, on stage in an exclusive interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The prestigious National Theater was named as the official venue, adding a deeper layer of cultural status to the occasion. The organizers chose the newly constructed Wole Soyinka Center for Culture and Creative Arts (formerly called National Theatre, Iganmu) to host the gala night.
The iconic, police-hat-fashioned cultural landmark has undergone a massive transformation in recent years, evolving into a modern-day hub for creative arts and entertainment. The venue hosts the CAF Awards and highlights the intersection of African sport, subculture and art.
Securing the hosting rights for the CAF Awards is a major strategic achievement for Lagos State. Over the years, the awards night has grown into a multi-million dollar global broadcasting occasion, attracting worldwide media attention from across Europe, America and Asia.
