The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the release of 279 previously withheld results from the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination following the conclusion of preliminary investigations into suspected malpractice cases.
JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed the development on Thursday through a post on X, explaining that the newly released results were separate from those earlier made available to candidates nationwide.
According to him, the board carried out a thorough review of examination reports and complaints before arriving at its decision. He noted that while some candidates were cleared and had their results released, others were found culpable of examination misconduct and consequently had their results cancelled.

Benjamin stated that JAMB only released results where investigations showed no evidence linking candidates to malpractice. However, he added that results from certain centres remain under scrutiny due to suspicious activities reportedly detected by the board’s monitoring team during the examination.
He warned that any candidate found guilty after the ongoing investigations would have their results invalidated in line with the board’s regulations.
The examination body also advised candidates who are yet to access their results to confirm their status by sending “UTMERESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
The 2026 UTME was conducted between April 16 and April 25 across accredited Computer-Based Test centres nationwide, with thousands of candidates participating in the exercise.
