Enugu Rangers and Rivers United are fighting hard for the Nigeria Premier Football League title with the final matches happening this weekend.
Rivers United must win against Katsina United. Hope Enugu Rangers loses points against Ikorodu City since Rangers are one point ahead.
Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Peterside Idah doesn’t want to take sides in this title fight between his old teams, Enugu Rangers and Rivers United. He thinks it’s hard to predict what will happen in the matches.
”Anything can still happen, whether you play at home or away ” Idah said on SuperSports Soccer Africa. “Enugu Rangers are playing away in Lagos while Rivers United are playing at home in Port Harcourt.”
He played for both Enugu Rangers and Rivers United, he knows people are watching this game closely. “Everyone thinks Rangers might win but this weekend’s games made people question the referees ” he said.
The game in Lagos will be huge with the stadium of fans. Idah said he can’t choose between his teams.
When asked who will win he said: “I am, from Rivers State my team is Rivers State and I played for Rangers so my team is Rangers. I just want to watch and see who wins.”
Rivers United’s head coach is Finidi George, a Super Eagles legend and Enugu Rangers coach is Fidelis Ilechukwu.
