‎NYSC Uploads Call‑Up Letters as 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Mobilisation Peaks

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released call‑up letters for prospective members of the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II, confirming that deployment details are now available on the Corps’ online portal.

‎In a notice issued Monday, April 20, the NYSC Directorate Headquarters directed prospective corps members to log in to their portals to check postings and download call‑up letters ahead of orientation.

‎The release marks the final stage of mobilisation as thousands of graduates prepare to begin their one‑year national service.

‎Prospective corps members reported that the portal became active in the early hours, though heavy traffic slowed access for many. ‎“There is traffic,” one candidate said while describing delays in checking deployment status.

‎Across social media, several users expressed mixed feelings, with some celebrating their postings and others voicing concerns over accessibility and state assignments. The development comes shortly after the NYSC confirmed the timetable for the orientation exercise.

‎In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Caroline Embu, the scheme announced that the orientation course will begin nationwide on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

‎The swearing‑in ceremony is scheduled for Friday, April 24, while the exercise will run until Tuesday, May 12.

‎The NYSC stressed that the orientation remains a cornerstone of the service year, combining paramilitary drills, leadership training, cultural integration, and community development initiatives to instill discipline and national unity.

‎Management also advised prospective corps members to prioritise safety while travelling to camps, cautioning against night journeys and urging them to break trips once it is 6:00 p.m.

‎With call‑up letters now released, the scheme reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and readiness, urging graduates to prepare for the orientation exercise that continues to serve as a vital tradition in Nigeria’s drive for unity and national development.
