Federal & State Governments, Biafran Independence & Pragmatic Diplomacy

So, Governor Soludo of Anambra State was reported to have shutdown the Onitsha Main Market so as to force the traders and indigenous people, to quit the agitation for Biafra, and a stop to the Monday sit-at-home!

First, I was of the belief that with the most popular Biafran leader jailed by the Nigerian government (rightly or otherwise), the Biafran agitation would have been nipped in the bud for good! Or wasn’t that the purpose?

Whatever!

Thinking about the actions of Governor Soludo, and juxtaposing that with the stupidity of handling the Biafrans by a most idiotic terrorist regime of Buhari, I scratch my bald pate and ask: “Where’s the place of diplomacy in all these?”

The same mistakes by the Federal government some 9 yrs ago, being carried over and reaffirmed over and over again! Same strategy, same result!

Insanity!!!

The case for independence of Biafran could never be stopped by coercion, narratives nor the obvious irresponsibility of the different institutions due to prejudices, so why not change strategies? Kanu has been jailed, right? Why hasn’t the Biafran agitation gone away?

Because it is about the people, and not Kanu!

It wouldn’t go away with coercion; it’s did not go away when 3million souls were lost between 1967 and 1970, what makes these jokers believe it would go away by threatening people or jailing a few individuals?

News: Rivers Govt: No Disrespect to Tinubu, Portrait Claim False

Soludo, like Buhari, Tinubu and several others, is inexplicably daft!

No, I’m not thinking for the agitators albeit I understand exactly their sentiments, and trust me, I know how to read the room.

While I might disagree with market closures, stay at home, etc, I shall defend the right of the people to have their say!

It isn’t the right of the government or institutions to determine if the majority were right or wrong but to determine ways to resolve issues!

In the first instance, the government, and her agencies, exist at the pleasure of the people! And the people hold the rights in a democracy!

What Soludo, and governments at various levels, have been doing, has been coercion! If this is a democracy (supposedly), but it’s being treated like a dictatorship! The people do not want to understand the bias of these funny governments, but to be understood and engaged. If however, you all believe that coercion would work, after not being able to work in 60yrs, by all means, go ahead!

think again oh…, I asked for too much; this is the APC Nigeria, where the application of the intellect by regular individuals is a mortal sin… treason!

These near imbeciles ruling Nigeria eschew pragmatic diplomacy and inclusion, then supplant those with coercion and hope to cower the people into submission?

Good luck with that; it didn’t work almost 60yrs ago with the genocide, and they hope it would work now? Talk of stupidity and you see the Nigerian state!

Please, don’t think, mbok; it’s a bloody waste of time in these climes!
