COAS Urges Soldiers to Protect Critical National Infrastructures

Officers and Men of the Nigerian Army  have been advised to continue to be combat ready towards the protection of critical national infrastructures in their areas of operations.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu gave the advice during his visit to the Headquarters 6 Division, Nigerian Army in Port-Harcourt.

Lieutenant General Shaibu said  the essence of his visit to various Army Divisions was to interact with Officers and men on their challenges and  promised to address them in due course.

“i have been briefed by the GOC and all your Brigade Commanders, all your challenges that were raised will be addressed immediately, for instance the issue of accommodation, we have approved the construction of additional accommodation, renovation of certain quarters and the completion of on-going projects.

“ In terms of quality education for your children is being looked into. In turn, we expect you to do your job effectively” the COAS charged.

Lieutenant General  Shaibu urged the Soldiers to always carry out their duties effectively and responsibly as their welfare remained topmost  priority of the Nigerian Army.

“ Discipline , Committed and Dedicated to the mandate o this Division and while you do that be less assured that we will take care of your welare which is topmost priority.

“ You will get what you deserve , what is entitled to you in one piece. So listen to your officers, they will guide you and they will lea you right” Lieutenant General  Shaibu assured.

High-point of the event was tree planting in the 6 Division  port harcourt by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu.
