APC National Secretary Applauds Fubara’s Housing Estate for Permanent Secretaries

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Bashiru, on Monday 22 December 2025 has lauded Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for his outstanding project delivery, urging Rivers people to rally behind the APC in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor.

Senator Bashiru who spoke at the inauguration of the newly completed Permanent Secretaries’ Quarters in Elimgbu Community, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, described Rivers as a shining example of APC governance in the South-South region.

“Rivers State is the first in the South-South to be fully controlled by the APC. The achievements we see today reflect our party’s commitment to people-oriented leadership,” Bashiru said, calling for continued support to consolidate the gains.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, who inaugurated the estate, commended Governor Fubara for prioritising the dignity and welfare of public servants. She described the project as a strategic investment in institutional continuity, aligning with President Tinubu’s staff welfare objectives.

Dr. Walson-Jack noted that many senior civil servants nationwide still lack official residences and urged beneficiaries to renew their commitment to service.The Head of Rivers State Civil Service, Dr. Inyingi Brown, called the project historic, the first purpose-built Permanent Secretaries’ estate in the state.

Providing Technical details, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Dr. Austin Ezekiel-Hart, revealed 29 housing units—nine stand-alone duplexes and 20 terrace buildings—with modern amenities including a water treatment plant, generators, CCTV, gym, and recreational areas.Members of the APC National Working Committee, top government officials, and stakeholders attended the event.
