The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will end the first quarter nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise on Tuesday, 10th December 2025.

In a statement issued by the Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Mrs. Victoria Eta-Messi on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 the Commission disclosed that the exercise, which began with online pre-registration on 18th August 2025 and physical registration on 25th August 2025 across the 774 Local Government Areas, state offices and the Federal Capital Territory, recorded significant participation.

From 15th to 21st December 2025, INEC will display the Register of Voters at all Local Government offices nationwide for the statutory Claims and Objections exercise, in compliance with Section 19 of the Electoral Act 2022.

The Commission urged all citizens who registered, transferred their voting points or updated their details during the first quarter to visit the display centres to verify their information, correct errors and identify ineligible or deceased persons on the register.
