Nnadozie Shines As Hakimi Is Crowned King Of Africa

Achraf Hakimi has been crowned the CAF Best Player of the Year, while Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie made history as Africa celebrated its finest football talents and national teams for their outstanding performances over the past season.

The CAF Awards, held in Rabat, Morocco, witnessed a memorable night for African football. One of the biggest highlights was Nnadozie’s remarkable achievement. The Nigerian goalkeeper became the first African female goalkeeper to win the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award three consecutive times, solidifying her status as one of the continent’s most consistent and commanding shot-stoppers.

For many Nigerian football fans, the year had been filled with disappointment, especially with the men’s national team failing to qualify for next year’s World Cup. However, the Super Falcons once again brought pride to the nation. Their strong performances ensured that Nigeria did not leave the ceremony empty-handed, reminding the continent of the enduring strength and resilience of women’s football in the country.
