LPV Technologies Secures Global Solar Certification

LPV Technologies, a prominent indigenous solar manufacturing company in Nigeria, has achieved a major milestone with the unveiling of its TÜV SÜD certification for premium-grade solar panels.

The certification confirms that the firm’s solar modules meet the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards, positioning them alongside globally recognized solar technologies and advancing Nigeria’s position in the renewable energy industry.

Speaking during the announcement, the company’s General Manager, Engr. Omobola Omofaiye described the certification as a landmark achievement for both LPV Technologies and the nation’s clean-energy ecosystem.

According to her, the accreditation reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering world-class renewable-energy products that are designed to address Nigeria’s unique power challenges.

She noted that the certified panels were engineered with advanced monocrystalline cells and built for superior energy generation, reduced degradation, and consistent performance, even in low-light conditions common across parts of the country.

Industry analysts view the certification as a significant boost to the credibility of Nigeria’s local solar manufacturing sector.

In a market long dominated by imported products, LPV Technologies’ achievement signals growing technical capacity within the country and strengthens the prospects for Nigeria-made solar equipment in international markets.

With this certification, the firm is positioned to expand exports and deepen its contributions to energy access and sustainability across Africa.

Omofaiye emphasized that the recognition not only validates LPV’s technical standards but also underscores its dedication to innovation, quality, and long-term energy solutions.

She reiterated that producing solar panels that meet global benchmarks while being engineered for Nigeria’s environmental realities demonstrates that local firms can compete at the highest levels.

She further stated that LPV Technologies remains committed to advancing renewable-energy adoption through locally manufactured solutions, job creation, and technology development. The certification, she added, marks the beginning of a new phase of growth for Nigeria’s renewable-energy manufacturing ecosystem.
