Remo Stars Received Bet9ja Support Amid CAF CL Title Chase

‎Lead betting company Bet9ja has revealed a major partnership with the current NPFL champions, Remo Stars, as the club aims to become the first Nigerian team since Enyimba in 2004 to secure the CAF Champions League title.

‎This partnership signifies a substantial investment in Nigerian football, as Remo Stars prepares to defend its league title while also pursuing continental success.

‎From a grassroots academy in Ikenne to winning the NPFL trophy in the 2024/25 season, Remo Stars have showcased the potential of youth-driven football. With Bet9ja’s financial support, the club is now setting its sights on an even more ambitious objective.

‎“Football is the heart of many young people in Nigeria,” stated Jennifer Olatunji, Senior Marketing Manager at Bet9ja.

‎“Our investment in Remo Stars is a means of supporting local talent and fostering a world-class future for Nigerian football and its emerging stars.”

‎The partnership goes beyond football, as Bet9ja is also supporting Moses Itauma, a boxing prodigy already considered a future world heavyweight champion. The company’s dual investment in both the Ikenne-based club and the young boxer demonstrates a broader commitment to cultivating homegrown talent.

‎Remo Stars’ ascent from academy to NPFL champions has been extraordinary, founded on the development of young Nigerian players rather than a heavy reliance on imports. This philosophy aligns seamlessly with Bet9ja’s vision of establishing sustainable pathways for Nigerian sporting excellence.

‎The CAF Champions League poses the ultimate challenge for Remo Stars, with no Nigerian club having claimed the continental trophy since Enyimba’s consecutive victories in 2003 and 2004. The 21-year drought has been a source of frustration for Nigerian football, despite the nation’s abundant talent pool.

‎Bet9ja’s involvement aims to tackle the systemic issues that have hindered Nigerian football, including financial instability, insufficient infrastructure, and the early exodus of talent.
