Port Harcourt is preparing to host another major cultural event as the Port Harcourt Photography Festival 2025 has been scheduled for Sunday, October 12, 2025. The event will take place at Model Secondary School, beside the Polo Club, GRA, Port Harcourt, with local brands and creatives expected to participate.
The festival, convened by Adele Chimenem Emmanuel, also known as Ace, is designed as a gathering point for professional photographers, enthusiasts, and residents. Activities will include live photo sessions, exhibitions, and interactive spaces where attendees can take pictures, socialise, and enjoy food and drinks.
Organisers say the event aims to celebrate photography as both an art form and a tool for community building, while also creating opportunities for networking among industry professionals.
PHCCIMA President Lauds Member for Bole Festival Participation
The Photography Festival comes shortly after the Bole Festival 2025, which recorded an estimated 30,000 attendees. The Bole Festival has grown into one of Nigeria’s largest food festivals, showcasing Port Harcourt’s signature roasted plantain and fish, alongside live music, comedy, and fashion displays. Its success has further established Port Harcourt as a hub for large-scale cultural events.
Entertainment observers note that the upcoming Photography Festival will extend this momentum by highlighting visual storytelling and creativity in the city. With brand participation and strong public interest anticipated, the event is projected to attract significant attendance.
The festival is expected to strengthen Port Harcourt’s reputation as a leading destination for cultural and entertainment gatherings in Nigeria.
