Award-winning Nollywood actress Evan Okoro has made a public plea for help, alleging that her husband, Prince Chibuzor Nwachimelueze, has threatened to kill her if she attempts to leave their marriage.
The couple traditionally tied the knot on April 13, 2025, in Evan Okoro’s hometown, but the actress now says she’s been living in fear ever since.
In a now-viral video, Evan revealed that she has filed a formal petition against her husband and that he was recently summoned to the police station amid her public outcry.
“He’s threatening my life. I don’t want the marriage anymore. I’ve been living in fear since,” she stated.
Evan disclosed that her husband has not paid her bride price, and her family recently reached out to him to fulfill the traditional obligation. She also claimed that her husband married her under the assumption that she was wealthy, pointing to her house, which she built before the marriage, as evidence.

“He thought I had money because of my house. That’s why he married me,” she said.
The actress further revealed that her husband has not been intimate with her since their wedding, and despite reporting the issue to his family, no action has been taken.
She emphasized that all efforts to rekindle the marriage have failed and warned her husband against harming her or her family.
The emotional video has sparked widespread concern and support from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom are calling for swift intervention and protection for the actress.
