Super Eagles are All-Round Ready for CHAN 2024 Says Chelle

Super Eagles’ head coach, Eric Sekou Chelle, has shared details regarding the team’s preparations for the 2024 Africa Nations Championship, in anticipation of their international friendly against Zanzibar, which is set for today.

During a media briefing in Zanzibar, Chelle conveyed his contentment with the progress the squad has made thus far, underscoring the significance of the match as part of their comprehensive preparation for future competitions.

“Our preparations commenced two weeks ago,” Chelle remarked. “My initial camp in Ikenne, close to Lagos, enabled us to accomplish substantial work in physical, tactical, and technical aspects.”

Chelle, who is managing his first camp as the head coach of the home-based Super Eagles, commended the facilities and hospitality in Zanzibar, pointing out that the setting has been favorable for their training goals.

“We are continuing our preparations here in Zanzibar, and we appreciate the warm welcome once more. We are pleased with the infrastructure we have observed in Zanzibar. We can proceed with the remainder of our preparations here.”

As they look forward to the friendly match, Chelle referred to Zanzibar as a “great team” and stressed the necessity of treating each game with seriousness as they prepare for more competitive encounters.
