The Wakirike Nurse Association has extended its charitable outreach to the elderly residents of Bolo, distributing essential items to men and women aged 60 years and above in a heartfelt community event.
The initiative began with a spiritual gathering organized by the Bolo Ministers’ Forum. Chairman of the forum, Pastor Mina Timon, led a session of worship and prayer, offering thanks for the generosity of the Wakirike Nurse Association. He was joined by other ministers from various churches in the community.
Delivering a sermon from Luke 12:1, Ven. Bulopakaye urged the attendees to “be on guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy,” and called on the community to live in truth and unity. Citing Psalm 91:1, he encouraged faithfulness, stating, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
He concluded with a reminder that there is a reward for every good deed done on earth, praising the Wakirike Nurse Association as an example of Christ-like living.
The Wakirike Nurse Association had previously visited Bolo to offer medical treatment and distribute medications to residents. This latest outreach focused on elderly members from eleven local churches, who were selected to receive a variety of useful items.
Participating churches include:
- St. Gabriel’s Anglican Church
- Deeper Life Bible Church – Branch 1
- St. Michael’s Christ Army Cathedral

Recipients were able to select items of their choice from a collection that included bags, shoes, clothing, caps, head ties, and cash gifts.
