Social media personality and financial commentator Gehgeh has warned activist VeryDarkMan that his new power bank and power station business could make him part of the problems facing Nigeria if he becomes dependent on poor electricity supply for sales.
Gehgeh made the remarks after reports emerged that a 40-foot container reportedly carrying VeryDarkMan’s power banks and power stations had arrived in the country.
He argued that the activist could have ventured into the construction sector instead, suggesting that his large following and public influence could have helped him secure government contracts based on the trust his supporters have in him.
According to Gehgeh, selling power banks and power stations could place VeryDarkMan in a position where persistent electricity shortages become commercially beneficial to his business.
“If there is light, you may not be able to sell your power banks and power stations,” he said.
He advised VeryDarkMan to sell the products to businessman B-Lord and return to his activism and online advocacy, which he described as his primary role.
