The Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Lucky Promise Otuo, has donated a brand-new wheelchair to Rose Moses, a person with disability from Okoroboile Community in Rivers State.
The gesture reflects the chairman’s commitment to inclusive governance, supporting vulnerable residents and improving the welfare of persons with disabilities across the local government area.
Presenting the wheelchair on behalf of the chairman, the Council’s Press Secretary, Dr. Sabina Ekeneonyem, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to identifying residents in need and providing practical assistance to improve their quality of life.

She assured that the council would continue to prioritise the welfare of vulnerable persons and implement initiatives aimed at ensuring that no resident is left behind.
In her response, Moses expressed gratitude to Otuo for recognising the needs of persons with disabilities and including their welfare among his administration’s priorities.
She described the donation as a significant intervention that would improve her mobility, promote independence and make her daily activities easier.
