Women Urged to Walk in God’s Grace to Fulfil Their Calling

Women have been urged to allow the grace of God to guide and transform them as they discover and fulfil their God-given purpose in life.

Pastor Nteugot Beauty gave the charge while speaking on the topic, “The Grace of God Training You,” at a women’s talk show organised by Praying Wives Voices International in Port Harcourt.

The programme, tagged “Called for a Purpose,” brought together women to reflect on faith, personal development and purposeful living.

Beauty, while explaining the essence of God’s grace, said it was not a licence to live carelessly but a divine tool for training believers to live godly lives.

She referenced Titus 2:11-12, which teaches that the grace of God trains believers to reject ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives.

According to her, women must allow God’s grace to lead their decisions and actions rather than allowing personal desires to dictate their lives.

“Grace is meant to teach us. It teaches us to do away with ungodliness and to live godly lives. Anything we are doing, we should make sure that grace is what is giving us the lead,” She said.

Beauty also stressed the importance of humility, noting that pride could hinder an individual from receiving and benefiting from God’s grace.

She said women who humble themselves and remain open to God’s guidance would be better positioned to develop godly character, meekness and spiritual maturity.

The speaker further encouraged women to remain steadfast in difficult times, saying trials and endurance could help build character and strengthen their hope in God.

Meanwhile, the Convener of Praying Wives Voices International, Pastor Dukor Viga, said the organisation was established to encourage women to pray and intercede for their families, communities and society.

Viga said women should devote more time to prayer rather than gossip, stressing that a praying and God-fearing woman could positively influence her family and society.

She explained that the organisation, which is marking its ninth anniversary, had continued to train and empower women through prayer, mentorship and practical programmes.

According to her, the August programme was designed to divide members into four groups to enable them discover and showcase talents, ideas and abilities that might otherwise remain hidden.

She said some of the groups had invited mentors and coaches to teach members practical skills, personal development and ways of improving their livelihoods.

Viga said the programme was also aimed at helping women understand that they could overcome challenges through their faith in God.

“Our expectation for the women is to build them, to tell them that there is God and that they can do all things through God who strengthens them. We also want them to know that God will always make a way for them, no matter the stress or problem they are facing,” she said.
