In a renewed commitment, a security agency in River State, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), has resolved to cooperate with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in order to improve security situation and combat crime in the state.
This renewed resolve was made at its Rivers State Command Headquarters in Port Harcourt recently during a courtesy call of PCRC corps members to the NSCDC according to Revelation Agent report.
Addressing members of the NSCDC, the Chairman of the PCRC, Dr. Voke Emore, pointed out that partnership among security agencies had now become imperative for tackling emerging security challenges.

Dr. Emore assured the command of the continued support of the PCRC in assisting the NSCDC and other security agencies in complementing existing efforts for ensuring security in the state.
Dr. Emore further appreciated the efforts of the Corps in combating pipeline vandalism and other crimes, adding that the contributions of the corps are very important for protecting lives, properties, and national facilities.
In his response, the Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr. Dennis Lesor Reuben, appreciated the initiative of the PCRC, stressing the importance of partnership between security agencies and community organizations.
He advised that the PCRC should continue providing the needed support to the Corps in its mandate of safeguarding important national assets and infrastructure.
Reuben also made it clear that the NSCDC will always ensure that there is good collaboration between it and the PCRC in ensuring peace, security, and crime prevention in Rivers State.
