The Super Eagles were forced to concede a 2-2 draw against Poland in an entertaining international friendly on Wednesday night
The game supplied another opportunity for head coach Eric Chelle to assess his squad as Nigeria continues to prepare for future assignments, at the same time Poland used the encounter as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup build-up
Nigeria got off to a brilliant start and deservedly took the lead through perfectly-designed attacking moves. Winger Moses Simon burst into the penalty area before picking out Terem Mofi, who finished expectantly to set up the early site visitors.

With victory within reach, the Super Eagles felt certain to extend their unbeaten run. However Poland fired struck through Przemyslaw Wisniewski, whose powerful effort from outside the box beat goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and discovered the underside of the back of the net.
Despite the disappointment of conceding the late goal, the end result supplied a number of positives for Chelle, whose side confirmed attacking promise and flexibility against good competition
Nigeria will now turn their attention to their next friendly as the coach continues to sharpen his team ahead of any future competition.
