Bob-Fubara Commissions Projects to Mark 100 Days in Office

The Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area in Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Aboiya-a Bob-Fubara, on Wednesday commissioned several infrastructure projects to mark his first 100 days in office, pledging continued community-driven development.

Speaking during the well-attended ceremony on December 31, 2025, Bob-Fubara described the milestone as evidence of purposeful leadership and responsive governance.

He attributed his administration’s early successes to the mentorship of key stakeholders, including Chief Ferdinand Alabraba, Hon. Chief Major M. Jack, and former Governor Chief Nyesom Wike.

“I remain committed to sustaining and expanding people-oriented projects across our communities,” Bob-Fubara told the mammoth crowd. He assured residents that commissioned projects would be properly maintained, emphasising accountability and value for public funds.

The chairman also reiterated his support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that effective grassroots governance is key to national development.

He thanked supporters, including Vice Chairman Mrs. Warigbani George, the legislative assembly leader Daye Bob-Manuel, councillors, traditional rulers, clergymen, women, youths, and political leaders for their cooperation.

Projects commissioned included the reconstructed and remodelled Akuku-Toru Multi-Purpose Hall, unveiled by Chief Alabraba, who praised Bob-Fubara’s “redefinition of grassroots governance.”

Hon. Isobo Bray-Jack commissioned the interlocked council premises and refurbished secretariat buildings, noting they provide a conducive environment for workers.

In a major boost, electricity was restored to the Glady Axis of Abonnema after over two years without power. Represented by Deacon Junior Sekibo, Hon. Dr. Roland Sekibo hailed it as “direct impact governance.”

The colourful event drew dignitaries, including the Amayanabo of Abonnema, King Disreal Gbobo Bob-Manuel, chiefs, lawmakers, and party leaders from PDP and APC.
