Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, set social media ablaze after declaring in a freestyle that he raps better than his long-time mentor and industry heavyweight, Olamide Adedeji.
The bold statement came during Oladips’ entry into Kabex’s trending “I Go Lie For You” challenge, where he dropped lyrical heat and crowned it with a controversial line claiming superiority over Olamide. The comment immediately split opinion across Nigeria’s vibrant hip-hop scene, reviving old debates about respect, legacy, and the next generation of rap kings.

For many fans, the claim was nothing short of audacious. User @_fikky1 dismissed it outright, writing, “E funny how some people dey reason OlaDips serious when he claim say he rap pass Olamide Baddo.”
Others, however, came to his defence. @DayGenius__ argued, “Oladips says he raps better than OLAMIDE. He ain’t capping… he rap am true true.”
