The jury in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial announced Tuesday it had reached verdicts on four of five charges but remained deadlocked on the racketeering count, which carries a potential life sentence.
At approximately 4:30 PM EDT, jurors informed Judge Arun Subramanian they had unanimously decided counts 2 through 5 but could not reach consensus on Count 1 (racketeering), citing “unpersuadable opinions on both sides.” The nature of the four decided counts remains undisclosed.
Over seven weeks of testimony, 34 witnesses – including former partners, employees, and law enforcement officials – detailed allegations that Combs led a criminal enterprise involving sex trafficking and coercion. The 55-year-old music mogul has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Prosecutor Maurene Comey argued in closing statements: “The defendant never thought that the women he abused would have the courage to speak out loud what he had done to them. That ends in this courtroom. The defendant is not a god.”
Defence attorney Marc Agnifilo countered that Combs’ relationships were “complicated” but consensual, stating: “The domestic violence does not amount to sex trafficking or racketeering.”
Judge Subramanian ordered jurors to resume deliberations Wednesday morning. The racketeering charge requires prosecutors to prove that Combs coordinated at least two criminal acts through an established enterprise.
This is a developing story. Updates will follow as deliberations continue.
