NDDC Assures Candidates of Fair Scholarship Selection

Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC) Dr. Samuel Ogbuku has reaffirmed that selection of successful beneficiaries of NDDC Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship remains transparent.

Dr. Ogbuku who made this known while addressing candidates taking the Computer Based Test CBT, in Port Harcourt Rivers State told them that the commission was intentional about human capacity development.

Represented by the Executive Director Finance and Administration (EDFA) Alagbo Boma Iyaye, the MD admonished them to have the confidence to excel.

He said “I’m assuring you that if you do well you will be admitted and you will earn the scholarship but it is very unfortunate that we cannot allow everybody here to earn the scholarship, because the numbers and our forms are also limited”.

We have another program that we are putting together to enable a certain number of persons to earn the local scholarship, that is attending a university in Nigeria so we have another number that will fit into that category” he stated.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Interventionist Agency admitted that the financial burden of the scholarship was huge but he gave assurance that the commission would not back out.
