Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema has been recognized as the most-streamed artist on YouTube for the first quarter of 2025. This milestone was revealed in a recent data report by The Debut Hub, a Nigerian music chart platform.
As per the report, Rema accumulated an outstanding 223 million streams, with 14 million streams attributed to his hit track “Is It Crime.” His remarkable streaming numbers reinforce his growing dominance in the global music industry.
However, Rema is not the only Nigerian artist making an impact this year. Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy, who is preparing to release his eighth studio album, ‘No Sign of Weakness,’ secured the second position with 171 million streams.
Following closely behind, Ayra Starr, popularly known as the “Sabi Girl,” secured the third spot with 169 million streams. Other major Nigerian artists also made it into the top five, with Davido taking fourth place with 113 million streams, and Wizkid completing the top five with 102 million streams.
