Bank shut after manager dies of covid-19 in Rivers

An Access Bank branch in Rivers State has reportedly been shut over the death of its branch manager from Covid-19.

The bank manager simply identified as Obinna was said to have died from the virus on Tuesday.

It was gathered that staff of the bank located in Onne, Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, have been tested by officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, and the Rivers State Ministry of Health and their samples results expected.

Rivers has so far recorded 631 cases, 362 of which are active cases, 244 have been discharged and 25 have died.

Social media users have been calling on people who visited the bank branch in the last few days to self-isolate or make themselves available for testing.
