The storm experienced in the early hours of Wednesday in Port Harcourt destroyed the roofs of over ten buildings at the Civil Servants phase 2 Quarters in the Marine Base axis of Port Harcourt.

Our correspondent who visited the area, observed that some buildings were badly affected, as buckets were being used to scoop out water from rooms.

Some residents who spoke to our correspondent lamented that the situation has compounded the difficulty been experienced as a reason of the partial lock down in the state.

They appealed for support from the state government.

Also, the popular “Odara” along Agudama by peremabiri street D Line also fell and another tree at Ibah street in D line also fell and blocked the road, destroying power lines along its path.

However, the manager Corporate Communication of Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHED, John Onyi assured that his men are working round the clock to remove the debris and restore Power Supply.
