Voters in Britain could be going to the polls before the year ends if Parliament rejects Boris Johnson’s, EU Withdrawal Bill.

Johnson has told MPs to back his Brexit deal to avoid a no-deal departure and ‘move out the country on’ as he kicked-off a Commons showdown today.

The government have refused to rule out the ‘nuclear option’ of pulling the Brexit deal completely if it’s changed beyond all recognition through amendments in the commons.

Metro reports that if this happens, Downing Street has indicated a general election would be called before Christmas.

Two crucial votes this evening will determine whether the PM will be able to live up to his ‘do or die’ commitment to take the UK out of the European Union by the October 31 deadline.

MPs will cast their initial vote on Withdrawal Agreement Bill (WAB) before being asked to back his accelerated timetable to hurry legislation through Parliament.
