Rivers traditional ruler begs fleeing subjects to return

The people of Rumuji in Emohua local government area of the state who fled the community due to cult-related crises has been called on to come back as normalcy has returned.

The Paramount Ruler of Rumuji, Eze Christian Okachineke-Elechi, who made the call in his palace, while confirming members of the Community Development Committee led by Godwill Osu-Osimini, insisted that activities have returned to normal through the help of Security Agencies in the area and Rundele Odegu Security Planning and Advisory Committee.

Eze Okachineke-Elechi stressed that the East-West Road and other neighbouring communities are now enjoying perfect peace.

Eze Okachineke-Elechi also called on the Emohua Local Government Council Chairman to assist in reconnecting electricity and support in the welfare of the ROSPAC for the sustainability of peace in the area.

He further advised the people to henceforth engage in activities that will promote peace and development in Rumuji.

On his part, the new CDC Chairman, Godwill Osu-Osimini, assured the Eze that his administration would bring wealth and development to the community within the time given, to ensure the sustainability of peace in Rumuji.
