As part of his efforts to bring succour to the impoverished and needy in his LGA, the Secretary of Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Council of Bayelsa State, Hon. Collins Agbiyaowei, has used the marking of his one year in office as an avenue to give financial support to some Bayelsans.
Agbiyaowei, while marking his one year in office as council secretary on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, donated cash gifts to students, traders and ward members in Ward 09 Sabagreia.
He thanked the people for their constant support and prayers. Handed ₦50,000 each to over eleven small-scale traders to support their businesses.
Also, cash gifts were given to support students of tertiary institutions, and many others through a raffle draw game.
The Council Secretary assured the people, mostly the youths and women on more empowerment in the coming days through what he described as the “Table Market Money Initiative”, which he said would help the grassroots to grow in business.

Further, he commended “Hon. Wisdom Fafi PhD, the Member Representing KOLGA Constituency Two (II) in BYHA, for his guidance, leadership prowess and also for supporting the “Table Market Money Initiative” with a reasonable amount.
“I recognise the contributions of Hon. Ebikeme Diri and the Executive Chairman of the Kolga, Hon. Tariye Isaac Lelei and other leaders who have stood firm in helping the grassroots in line with the Assured Agenda of the Governor, His Excellency Senator Douye Diri.
The occasion was attended by other youth leader,s including, Government Technical Adviser, Hon. Macclean MacCarthy, Deputy Chief and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Mr. Amaebi Ayawari KSC, and other appointees, and other government officials.
