Rivers Youths Urged to Prioritize Public Interest Over Personal Gain

Youths of Rivers State have been advised to rise above their personal interest, and utilize their potentials to bring about the positive change that is needed in the state. Former Nigerian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Mr. Oji Ngofa, who gave charge during the inauguration of Coalition of Rivers State Youth Bodies in Port Harcourt, said the youths have a major role to play in getting Rivers State out of its present doldrums.

“If you are ready to use your youthful energy to pursue positive change, to make impact as youth you must be sacrificial, you must place public interest over personal interest and commitment to what you are doing” he noted. Mr. Ngofa further enjoined the youths to set an agenda for good leadership and to demand from the government their basic rights.
