Davido Reunites with Daughter Imade Amid Custody Battle

Nigerian music star Davido has finally reunited with his first daughter, Imade Adeleke, following a prolonged custody dispute with his ex-partner, Sophia Momodu.

The reunion comes months after Davido filed a lawsuit at the Lagos State High Court in April 2024, seeking full custody of Imade. The singer accused Momodu of restricting his access to their child, prompting the legal action.

In response, Momodu submitted a 102-paragraph counter-affidavit, alleging that Davido had neglected his parental responsibilities after their romantic relationship ended.

The dispute escalated on social media, with Momodu’s uncle, veteran journalist Dele Momodu, revealing that the court had recommended alternative dispute resolution (ADR) to settle the matter.

However, in a heartwarming turn of events, Davido took to social media on Wednesday night to share a photo of his reunion with Imade, captioning it, “Best day of my life.” The post has since sparked reactions from fans, many of whom hope for an amicable resolution to the custody battle.
