Opobo Administrator Urges Residents to Remain Peaceful, Shun Violence

The Administrator of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, Mr. Fredrick Apiafi, has called on residents of the area to embrace peace and shun all forms of violence, lawlessness, and acrimony.

According to the post shared on Sunday, Apiafi made the appeal while receiving members of Team Opobo/Nkoro from the Rivers State Directorate, who paid him a courtesy visit.

The visit, aimed at familiarizing the team with the local government leadership and presenting the statutory mandate of the Agency, provided a platform for both parties to explore avenues of collaboration in advancing developmental initiatives.

In his remarks, Mr. Apiafi assured the delegation of his commitment to working closely with the Agency to ensure that the people of Opobo/Nkoro benefit from the dividends of democracy.

The gesture symbolized the Agency’s dedication to instilling civic responsibility, good governance, and ethical standards across local communities.
