Concern Citizen Begs Fubara As Residents Flee Rivers Community Over Insecurity

Some natives deserted their homes in Obele community after five persons were killed because of a clash between rival cult groups.

The killing took place on Wednesday night, February 5, 2025, when alleged cultists invaded the community, moving from one house to another in search of their targets and killed five persons in different compounds in the community.

While some residents fled their homes to seek shelter in other communities and LGAs, those who remained are still living in fear.
