The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter His Grace, The Most Revd Dr kaladokubo (JP) has enjoined Christians especially in the state to love one another and have faith in Jesus Christ.
Archbishop Kaladokubo who said this as part of his New Year message also thanked the governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara for the good works his administration is doing for the state.
The CAN chair said: “I want to on behalf of all Christians in Rivers State thank His Excellency, the Governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara for the works he is doing for Rivers people especially, commissioning and flagging off of new projects in the state.
“I also want to thank the governor for giving the civil servants and retirees, N100,000 Christmas gift. A gesture Christians don’t use to experience.
“To my fellow Christians, what I want to advise them is that they should have faith in God. Nothing God can not do. The hardship we are experiencing in the country today is what other countries have experienced.
“I believe God is taking us somewhere in 2025. Our own is to pray for the government in power from the federal to the state and LG levels, hoping and believing that 2025 will be 100 percent better than 2024.
“Above all, we are still in a Christmas season. Jesus came for us and we should believe in Him and love one another. Jesus came because He loves the world. So, believing Him and accepting Him as our Lord and Personal Savour will help improve our lives.
“We should always do the right things that will please God so that God will be pleased to bless us and this nation.”
