Real Warri Pikin Celebrates Warri Spirit in New Web Series, Base On Street

Nigerian comedian and influencer Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has unveiled her new web series, Base On Street, a project she describes as a tribute to the resilient spirit of the Warri people and her devoted fans.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, Real Warri Pikin shared her inspiration for the series. “My love for the Warri people and the desire to create something original and relatable drove me to develop this series,” she said. “While it’s hilariously entertaining and educational, it also addresses serious themes such as the dangers of prostitution and the importance of making critical life decisions.”

The series tells the compelling story of two sisters who leave Warri for Lagos in search of better opportunities. However, when they arrive and can’t find their old friend, they are left stranded. Determined to survive, the sisters embark on a series of unconventional jobs, leading to humorous and heartwarming adventures that promise to captivate audiences.

Beyond its comedic appeal, Base On Street carries a profound message. “The series underscores the importance of gathering adequate information before pursuing any venture,” Real Warri Pikin explained. “It also emphasizes the need for critical thinking when making life-altering decisions, as these choices can shape one’s future. Moreover, it tackles the issue of prostitution, highlighting why it should never be an option, no matter how tough life gets.”

The series features a stellar cast, including Ruth Dickson, Nonso Adika-Afolabi, Oluwatosin, Akorede Ajayi, and Alvin Odibo, alongside Real Warri Pikin herself.

With Base On Street, Real Warri Pikin continues to blend humor with meaningful storytelling, using her platform to entertain while delivering impactful messages that resonate with her audience.
