APC Chieftain Eze Denies Claims of Rotimi Amaechi’s Regret Over Party Affiliation

In a recent statement from Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a prominent figure within Nigeria’s All Progressives Congress (APC), has debunked circulating rumors suggesting that Chibuike Amaechi, former Minister of Transportation, regrets his association with the APC and might consider rejoining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Eze dismissed these reports, labeling them as “baseless” fabrications spread by “mischief makers and media irritants” with the aim of tarnishing Amaechi’s reputation.

Eze clarified that Amaechi, an influential APC leader and former governor of Rivers State, remains fully committed to the APC’s objectives, with no plans of abandoning the party.

Amaechi, known for his role in strengthening the APC’s presence in the South-South region, has shown unwavering loyalty to the party, despite attempts by adversaries to stir controversy, according to Eze.

“Ordinarily, I wouldn’t have responded to this deliberate but yet another concocted false narrative by one faceless paper tiger, who always deceptively tags himself as Mr. Ibe,” Eze stated.

He explained that he felt compelled to address these rumors, as he believes they stem from Amaechi’s prominence, in his words,” as a pragmatic political czar, visionary, team player and a force to reckon with in Nigeria’s political landscape.”

Eze suggested that those spreading these rumors are motivated by a “fear-of-unknown syndrome” and are unsettled by Amaechi’s influence.

He noted that Amaechi’s absence from the political spotlight over the past year has led to “sleepless nights, unimaginable fear, and palpable tension” among his detractors. He warned against attempts to smear Amaechi’s reputation, seeing them as attempts to undermine a potential political threat as the nation approaches the next election cycle.

Eze further highlighted Amaechi’s vocal criticism of certain policies under the APC-led Federal Government, particularly those that have exacerbated the nation’s economic hardships. Amaechi, according to Eze, has expressed concern over the government’s ineptitude and docile posture regarding the economy, asserting that “thoughtless policies” have contributed to Nigeria’s deepening poverty.

In conclusion, Eze emphasized Amaechi’s dedication to the APC’s vision and his ongoing commitment to impactful leadership, refuting any claims of regret or intention to rejoin the PDP.
