Just In: Akpabio emerges Senate President

Senator Godswill Akpabio has emerged as the president of the 10th Senate.

He defeated Abdulazeez Yari to become Nigeria’s next Senate President.

Akpabio scored 63 votes, while Yari scored 46 votes.

Akpabio was declared president of the 10th Senate.
