INEC begins distribution of new PVCs in Rivers

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that it has received the Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) of fresh Rivers registrants for the 1st and 2nd quarters.

INEC, in a statement on Tuesday, said the 1st and 2nd quarters cover all registration done within the period of June and December 2021.

It said the distribution of the processed cards will begin today, Wednesday 27 April, from 9 am to 3 pm, urging residents to pick up cards personally.

According to the statement, “The Management of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Rivers State wishes to inform the general public that the Voter’s cards for fresh registrants who registered between June and December 2021 in Rivers State are ready for pick up in the INEC offices in the LGAs from Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Time remains 9 am to 3 pm.”

“Cards are to be collected personally by the owners. On no account should anyone’s card be collected by proxy.”

The commission added that the cards will only be available for pick-up at the 23 INEC local government offices.
