NUJ bus stolen in Port Harcourt

An 18-Seater Bus belonging to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Rivers State Council correspondents’ chapel has been stolen in Port Harcourt.

The vehicle which was in the custody of the Correspondent Chapel’s Chairman, Amaechi Okonkwo was robbed at about 3 am on Friday at his residence in Eneka, Obio/Akpor local government area of the state.

According to the information provided by the Chairman, the robbers stormed his residence fully armed and robbed his household and other residents before driving away with the Union bus.

The Secretary, Nigeria Union of Journalists Rivers State Council, Ike Wigodo, in a statement informed the Nigerian Police and general public that the NUJ bus of the correspondents’ Chapel has been robbed at gunpoint.

He appealed to members of the public who happened to sight the vehicle anywhere to contact the police or the NUJ Rivers State Council through 08068762396.
