Car crash reportedly claims three in Rivers

Three persons have reportedly lost their lives following a car crash along the Port Harcourt Aba expressway in Rivers State.

It was learnt that the accident on Wednesday, occurred when a hummer bus conveying about five passengers rammed into a stationary truck parked along the road.

Sources said the vehicle which was also carrying empty bottles of drinks rammed into the damaged truck parked on the road for some days.

Residents within the area disclosed that the truck caused the accident, blaming road safety officials for failing to remove the truck.

They, however, disclosed that while three persons lost their lives, two others who sustained injuries were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
