The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the killing by unknown gunmen in Omuobuizu clan in Ibaa community, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The two men were shot dead in the early hours of Saturday over the factionalization of a local security outfit, OSPAC.
Recall that the Emohua Local Government Area Chairman, Chidi Lloyd has disbanded the highly factionalized security outfit.
Sources said their assailants went to their homes and shot them, adding that the shooting caused panic in the area.
The public relations officer of the command, Grace Iringe-Koko, who differed on the number of casualties in the attack , said that only one person was reportedly killed in the incident.
She said normalcy had returned to Ibaa community, adding that investigation into the killing had commenced to apprehend the persons behind the attack.
