WASSCE: Rivers cautions against exam malpractice

Rivers State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku, has cautioned against examination malpractices, insisting that anyone caught will be dealt with in accordance with prescribed rules and regulations governing the conduct of the examination.

Ebeku stated this yesterday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, while monitoring the 2021 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in the state.

“We are here to ensure that the examination (especially as students write English Language paper nationwide) goes on seamlessly. We don’t condone malpractices in Rivers State and we will not allow anyone to cheat,” he said.

He also cautioned students against compromising their future by indulging in malpractices, adding that he was confident that students were prepared for the examinations and so should have no reason to engage in any form of misconduct.
