Prof Georgewill Owunari has been elected as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt.
Details surrounding his emergency are still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
Owunari will replace Prof Stephen Okodudu who has been in acting capacity since June 2020.
His letter of appointment was issued by Senator Andrew Uchendu, who is the pro-Chancellor of the institution.
