Landlord locks PHED office over rent in Port Harcourt

The owner of one of the offices of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company in Ogbumnabali community of Port Harcourt has locked it up over the failure of the company to pay rent.

Stephen Momoh, a social media user who shared photos of the closure, showed the angry landlord sitting in front of the red padlocked door.

The locking of the office forced the staff of the power company to attend customers from a car.

Chioma Aninwe, a spokesperson for PHED, said the locking of the office was caused by a communication gap.

She added that the problem will soon be resolved.
