Unknown gunmen attack police station in Ebonyi, kill officer

Unknown gunmen have attacked a police station in Obiozara, in the Ohaozara local government area of Ebonyi State, killing a policeman and torching part of the station.

It was gathered that the attack occurred at about 3 am on Thursday.

Sources said the office of the Divisional Police Officer and the main administration building was burnt down.

It was also gathered that the main police station was burnt down during the #Endsars protest.

Loveth Odah, the public relations officer of the state command who confirmed the attack, said the gunmen invaded the station in large numbers.

Recall that another station was also burnt down in Obosi, Anambra state where two officers were killed.
