PDP sweeps Rivers LGA poll, as opposition say poll was rigged

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is expected to sweep top positions in the Saturday’s Rivers local government area election, just as apposition parties say the election was rigged by the PDP.

From the results collated so far, the PDP is leading in every ward while opposition parties are trailing behind.

However, the African Action Congress, AAC has accused the PDP of rigging the election.

Progress Ogbokuma, the state chairman of the party said the PDP used soldiers to cart away ballot boxes.

He said “It Is So Laughable How PDP Used Army To Cart Away Ballot Boxes At Choba Obio Akpor Ward 15. They Collected The Phone Of Our Boy Who Caught Them On Camera”
