We’ll Make A Change Through ADP – State Chairman

…As Party Stakeholders Pay Him Condolence Visit

The chairman of Action Democratic Party (ADP), Rivers State Chapter, Mr Victor Fingesi, has said that his party will make a change in the state come 2019.

He said it is not enough for people to lament over the situation of things in Rivers State without making effort to bring about a change.

Speaking during a condolence visit paid to him by stakeholders of the party recently over the death of his father, Chief Fingesii, the ADP Chairman said he joined the party because of his belief in ADP’s ability to turn things around for Rivers people.

He said: “Everybody tells me they’re fed up but nobody’s making any effort to create any situation that that will change their being fed up as Mr Victor Fingesi has decided to take up that challenge.

“And taking up that challenge, I cannot do it on my own. So, I have decided to join Action Democratic Party and through this party it shall be done.”

Mr Fingesi said that many people will attend his father’s burial, hence the ADP will use the opportunity to make a declaration.

He however noted that the challenges facing the ADP are enormous, as, according to him, it is not easy to wrest power from whoever is holding it.

The Rivers ADP chairman, who announced that the party now has an office in Port Harcourt, encouraged the party chieftains to remain focused and committed.

Earlier, members of the ADP present took turns to console their party chairman over the death of his father.

Chief Nemene Nordee, a member of the ADP’s national exco, said they came to condole with their state party chairman over the death of his father.

Secretary of the party, Mr Innocent Nwanguma, bemoaned the fact that Mr Victor Fingesi’s father left when his wealth of wisdom was needed most. He urged the ADP state chairman to take heart.

A chieftain of the party and one of its founders, Achonwa Okogba, said they came to condole with their chairman over the death of his father.

Describing Victor Fingesi as a man of many parts, Okogba expressed faith in the ADP state chairman’s ability to surmount the challenges presented by the death of his father, adding that they would not weigh him down
